Incoming Off-Campus Student Registration

Welcome to Western! Off-Campus (OC) Registration Day for Main Campus Students is on Sunday, September 6th, and Monday, September 7th. An email from your Sophs will be sent to your UWO email.

Please ensure you attend the registration time specified in their email.

  • If you have not received an email from your Sophs by 9 a.m. on September 2, use the schedule below to determine your registration time and location.

Plan to stay for the day! A pizza meal is provided.

Arts & Humanities Sunday September 6, 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Science Monday September 7, 10 a.m. -12 p.m.
Health Science, Kinesiology, Nursing Monday September 7, 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

What to Bring

  • Your Western OneCard or a piece of government-issued ID to register
  • A reusable plastic water bottle
  • A small clear bag or fanny pack for your belongings. Large bags are not permitted in OWeek venues.

About OWeek Programming

All OWeek programming information can be found on the OWeek App.

Please note that OC-specific programming taking place on Sunday night is only available to students who register on Sunday. However, all incoming OC students are welcome to attend the football game on Sunday night - just bring your Western OneCard to enter!

Kings Off-Campus Registration

Sunday, September 6th, from 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM in Labatt Hall, Room 103.

If you miss the designated OC registration time, please go to Labatt Hall Room 103 during our regular Okit pick-up times (listed below) to receive your kits and be connected with an OC Soph from Kings.

  • Monday, September 7 - Thursday, September 10: 1 to 2:30 p.m; Friday, September 11: 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Huron Off-Campus Registration

Sunday, September 6th, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Huron University. Head to the big tent on campus to check in — it will be easy to find.

Society of Off-Campus Students

Are you an incoming student living off-campus? The Society of Off-Campus Students (SOCS) is a community of students and upper year mentors designed to help you in your transition to Western. SOCS is known on campus as "One Big Family" and we are excited for you to join us.

SOCS consists of 8 committees: Academics, Community Outreach, Events, Health, Wellness, International, Media and OCSC (Off-Campus Student Council) which are committed to making you feel at home here at Western!

Some examples of events/activites hosted by each committee include:

Academics: Study sessions, LinkedIn workshops
Community Outreach: Volunteer with a community partner
Events: Movie night, semi-formal
Health: OC intramurals and other sporting events
Wellness: Wellness/Self-Care nights
International: Multi-cultural potluck, OC Global Cafe
Media: Captures highlights of each event

Off-Campus Student Council (OCSC)

Work with a group of like-minded off-campus first years and sophs to plan and execute events throughout the year and get a taste of the Sophing experience. More information regarding OCSC and application deadlines coming soon!

Off-Campus Resource Centre (OCRC)

A "home away from home" for first year off-campus students and Sophs. Fully equipped with couches, a microwave, a TV, games and more, it is a great place to study, meet new people and hang out during the day. Find the OCRC in the University Community Centre (UCC) 251!

Orientation and Sophs

Your Off-Campus Sophs will be with you every step of the way through Orientation and the entire year! Each student is paired with an Orientation Leader (aka Soph) to assist with your transition to Western. For the most recent Orientation updates, please visit Western's OWeek website.

Passionate about supporting students in their transition to Western?

Join the Off-Campus (OC) Soph team! Off-campus students have a different set of needs than those living in residence and the OC Soph team aims to specifically address those needs while building an inclusive and welcoming community for off-campus students at Western.

  • Applications for the 2026-2027 Off-Campus Soph Team are closed. Recruitment for the 2027-2028 cycle will being in the Fall; keep an eye on the Western's OWeek website for more information!
